Foreword
Assalamualaikum and Salam Sejahtera Alhamdulillah, all praise be to Allah The Almighty, by whose grace and blessing, the second issue of PSP’s Research Digest is published. I am pleased to be given the opportunity to write a few words in this second issue. The publication clearly reflects the commitment and endeavour of the Politeknik Seberang Perai’s staff to constantly carry out research in order to improve the quality of teaching and learning and promote a culture of innovation and creativity among the staff. The papers published in this digest are the result of the initiative of Politeknik Seberang Perai’s lecturers to conduct research and present their findings at national and international seminars and conferences. This digest sets out the institution’s research strategy and provides a review of its research in key areas, ranging from pedagogical issues to technical aspects. Research has to be shared and communicated. Professionals are users of knowledge and have the responsibility to produce new knowledge. We would not have completed the research and evaluated it critically until we prepare to have it published. The publication of this digest is to fulfil this responsibility and it is hoped that it will become a catalyst for the staff to embrace the culture of research and production of academic writings. I would also like to thank all the writers who have contributed their articles in this digest and my congratulations to the committee for successfully publishing the second issue of the PSP’s Research Digest.
